The TinyGo Keeb Tour 2024 & 2025 is a series of workshops held all around in Japan about the TinyGo Keeb zero-kb02, which is a DIY keyboard whose firmware is written in Go (TinyGo). The first half of the workshop is physically building the keyboard (a bit of soldering, putting pieces together), and the later half is about the software and possibilities of the keyboard itself. It started with part of the great and awesome TinyGo community in Japan: sago35, micchie, ysaito, taknb2nch, ... but has grew since then, with t-shirts and even towels of the event!

So... Keeb workshop in Europe?
I liked the idea so much I wanted to make one myself, fortunately it's open-source and open-hardware, and since you can not order a single PCB... I prepared some kits and made them available in Europe, I even sold a few of them last FOSDEM. And now I'm bringing some to GopherCon Europe too!

As is customary, we'll be holding a TinyGo workshop this year too on the first day of the conference, as well as the last day, during community day. I will bring some extra solder irons, materials and keeb kits just in case you want one.

Do you dare?
If you want to participate you can pre-order one keeb kit so I can prepare in advance how many we need. I will bring some gopherbadges and nametags too, and while those cost money, attending the TinyGo workshop is free (with your GopherCon.EU ticket), and we'll lend you some hardware along with self-guided tutorials to hack on, from arduino boards to flying drones and mini robots. Come hack with us and have some fun time at Alte Münze (the venue).
